The Role
  • Directly supervise and coordinate asphalt placement, paving, and compaction teams.
  • Plan and manage materials, plant equipment, and logistics for daily job readiness.
  • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Maintain high-quality work output by adhering to client specifications, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
  • Develop the skills and abilities of crew members through coaching and mentoring.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, councils, and contractors to foster strong relationships.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, production targets, and site issues.
About You
  • Prior experience supervising asphalt paving/compaction crews is essential for success.
  • Knowledge of asphalt placement, QA, and compaction methods is required.
  • Understanding of WHS legislation and compliance standards is crucial.
  • Ability to coordinate people, plant, and resources efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
