Job Overview

State Asphalt Services Pty Ltd is seeking a seasoned Asphalt Manager to oversee asphalt placement, paving, and compaction operations. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and expertise in quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of asphalt pavers, rollers, and plant operators to ensure high-quality outputs while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate daily logistics, including plant maintenance, materials supply, and crew readiness.
  • Implement site safety protocols, conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks, and monitor adherence to WHS standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality management systems to meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and capability.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, councils, and contractors through effective communication and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an asphalt supervisor or manager in a similar industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt construction methods, QA/QC procedures, and WHS regulations.
  • Practical understanding of safety legislation and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
