The Role
As
Supervisor – Asphalt Placement & Compaction
, you'll take charge of daily crew operations to ensure asphalt paving projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. You'll lead from the front — coordinating plant, people, and materials while embedding a strong safety and performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise asphalt placement, paving, and compaction crews
Coordinate plant, materials, and logistics for daily job readiness
Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site safety checks
Ensure work meets quality standards, client specifications, and safety requirements
Mentor and develop crew members to build skill and capability
Liaise with clients, councils, and contractors to maintain strong relationships
Report on job progress, production targets, and site issues
About You
Previous experience supervising asphalt paving/compaction crews (essential)
Strong knowledge of asphalt placement, QA, and compaction methods
Practical understanding of WHS legislation and compliance standards
Skilled in coordinating people, plant, and resources in fast-paced environments
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Successfully pass a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
White Card and MR/HR licence required (additional tickets an advantage)
