Transmission Systems Specialist

We are seeking a specialist to join our team and support a major mining and resources project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing vendor engagements, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing assurance for transmission systems.
The Transmission Systems Specialist will represent the company at vendor and site engagements, including FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning. They will review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies. Furthermore, they will follow Change Management processes, including CAB submissions, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of transmission systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz). Experience with HTZ Telecom microwave planning tools and understanding of ACMA licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry, as well as proficiency in PDH/SDH Transmission equipment design, construction, and commissioning. Nokia Wavence experience is beneficial, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent the company at vendor and site engagements, including FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning.
- Review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies.
- Follow Change Management processes, including CAB submissions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of transmission systems.
- Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry.
- Strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz).
- Familiarity with HTZ Telecom microwave planning tools.
- Understanding of ACMA licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio.
- Ability to review structural analysis reports and antenna mounting arrangements.
- Experience with PDH/SDH Transmission equipment design, construction, and commissioning.
