Job Title: Microwave Network Specialist

Seeks a highly skilled and experienced Microwave Network Specialist with expertise in Nokia Wavence systems to oversee microwave projects in the mining industry.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major mining and resources project. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing vendor engagements, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing assurance for microwave networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Represent the organization at vendor and site engagements, including FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning.
  2. Review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies.
  3. Follow Change Management processes, including CAB submissions.
  4. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of microwave networks.
  5. Provide assurance and act as a point of contact for all microwave-related technical queries.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations for both office and site-based operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry is highly desirable.
  2. Strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz, Nokia Wavence preferred).
  3. Familiarity with HTZ Telecom microwave planning tools.
  4. Understanding of ACMA licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio.
  5. Ability to review structural analysis reports and antenna mounting arrangements.
  6. Experience with PDH/SDH Transmission equipment design, construction, and commissioning (Nokia Dynanet and Ericsson SPO/OMS exposure beneficial).
