Seeking a Transmission Engineer with Nokia Wavence experience for microwave projects in mining.
The roleWe are seeking a Transmission Engineer to join our team and support a major mining and resources project. You will play a critical role in overseeing vendor engagements, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing technical assurance for transmission systems.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the company at vendor and site engagements, including FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning.
- Review and approve vendor documentation, including designs, test plans, and implementation strategies.
- Follow Change Management processes, including CAB submissions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of transmission systems.
- Provide technical assurance and act as a point of contact for all transmission-related technical queries.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations for both office and site-based operations.
- Experience in the mining, oil & gas, or resources industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Microwave backhaul systems and Point-to-Point microwave radio design (6 to 23GHz, Nokia Wavence preferred).
- Familiarity with HTZ Telecom microwave planning tools.
- Understanding of ACMA licensing requirements for Point-to-Point Microwave radio.
- Ability to review structural analysis reports and antenna mounting arrangements.
- Experience with PDH/SDH Transmission equipment design, construction, and commissioning (Nokia Dynanet and Ericsson SPO/OMS exposure beneficial).
