Join our team as a Lineworker in Operations South Regional to build and maintain transmission and distribution networks.

You will be responsible for constructing and maintaining electricity networks, responding quickly to faults to minimize disruptions, delivering high-quality work, and adapting to evolving industry standards. Working in various conditions, you will plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining positive customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner to ensure minimal loss of supply and less disruption to the customers.
  • Completing allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards ensuring consistent quality across the network.
  • Maintaining and enhancing core Line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements.
  • Participating in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards, and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable job completion.
  • Working in environmental elements to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Overhead or equivalent qualification or New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4.
  • Valid WA HR Class Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
  • HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential.
