Active Community Engagement Officer

The role of the Active Community Engagement Officer is to foster partnerships with sports clubs, community organisations and key stakeholders to deliver active and healthy programs. The successful candidate will engage with the community to promote active and healthy lifestyles.

Main Responsibilities
  • Foster relationships with sports clubs, community organisations and key stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  • Engage with the community to promote active and healthy lifestyles through various initiatives.
  • Coordinate stakeholder input and involvement in planning and delivery of works and projects.
  • Communicate effectively to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, utilising strong written communication and presentation skills.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience working with outdoor sporting and recreation facilities is highly desirable.
  • Able to build relationships with sports clubs and community groups to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
  • Proven ability to coordinate stakeholder input and facilitate collaborative efforts.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Degree or Diploma in sport and recreation administration, project management, or equivalent relevant experience.
