About this role

  • As a highly skilled specialist anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients and leading the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Clinical Care Responsibilities:

- Provide outpatient and inpatient anaesthetic care to patients.

- Deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical care and delegate tasks when necessary.

- Contribute to medical education and training through seminars, tutorials, and on-the-job learning.

- Participate in the on-call anaesthetic roster.

- Foster open communication with stakeholders throughout the patient's care continuum.

- Develop relationships between hospitals and community groups to ensure continuity of care.

About You

- Utilize resources efficiently and stay aware of budgetary issues to support hospital goals.

- Hold professional training and experience in general adult anaesthesia and paediatric anaesthesia.

- Demonstrate current competency in advanced life support skills.

- Contribute to clinical audit, professional development, and research activities within the department.

- Supervise and teach anaesthetic registrars, junior medical staff, and medical students.

- Possess sound communication skills with patients and clinical team members.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Be vaccinated against certain vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
