Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This exciting role will involve delivering complex engineering projects with innovative designs that meet client needs and expectations.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering high-profile projects across various disciplines. This key engineering role will also involve leading and developing a team of engineers and designers within the civil discipline.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for various projects ensuring innovative, high-standard designs meeting client needs and expectations.
  • Manage project issues, considering construction costings and practices in the design process.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers within the civil discipline, providing technical guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Gain business understanding, develop strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and build business development skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated design experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in producing detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design.
  • Understanding of design and commercial risk with good contract management experience.
  • Liaising with project managers and architects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship maintenance at different levels within client organisations.
  • Business development skills.
