Our organization has a significant impact on the legal and governance landscape of corporate Australia. To support this, we have a dedicated team that promotes accountability, integrity, and customer trust.
We provide safe channels for our people and external partners to speak up about concerns, and undertake investigations and cultural reviews into whistleblower claims. Our work includes investigating misconduct such as fraud, bribery, conflicts of interest, bullying, sexual harassment, and discrimination.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting fair, impartial, and timely investigations and culture reviews:
- With sensitivity and professionalism;
- In accordance with best practice and our processes (which include participant support processes).
You will engage with stakeholders such as colleagues in Group Legal, HR, and Group Investigations, and provide input into management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct SpeakUP investigations and culture reviews fairly and professionally.
- Draft clear allegation letters and findings reports.
- Engage with investigation participants clearly and confidently.
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide insights into management reporting.
- Support maintenance of investigation manual and related resources.
- Contribute to risk management and compliance arrangements.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in law or another relevant field are preferred. You should have 7+ years' experience in workplace investigations, litigation, culture reviews, or other investigative processes. Knowledge of Australia's corporate statutory whistleblower regime is highly regarded, as is experience in lending misconduct and fraud investigations.
High emotional intelligence, excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with care are essential. You must also be able to analyse information and make well-informed judgements on complex matters.
Resilient self-regulation and the ability to manage risks and compliance obligations are also required.
