We are seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join our kitchen team and play a key role in preparing delicious dishes that delight our guests.
Job Description:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely food production.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development, incorporating seasonal and local produce.
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices to comply with regulatory standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and ordering to minimise waste and control costs.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain high performance and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including equipment upkeep and compliance with safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Cook or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with attention to detail.
- Passion for culinary excellence and innovation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
