Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Systems Administrator.

The successful candidate will be part of the Frontline & Digital Division, delivering ICT services to public safety agencies. The Core Systems team focuses on innovative development and planning of integrated systems and business processes.

You will provide high-level technical planning, execution, and mentoring within the Data Centre team. You will work collaboratively with technical staff across the Division to ensure Data Centre deliverables are met daily.

  • Prioritise, diagnose, and resolve incidents in a complex technological environment.
  • Contribute to maintenance and installation, monitoring infrastructure performance for service delivery.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and briefing staff and management on new software technologies, products, methods, techniques, and services.
  • Engage with vendors and other business units to enhance effective Data Centre management.
  • Document storage and server environments, formulate procedures, and support materials for efficient Data Centre operations.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in enterprise-grade hardware, including servers, NAS/SAN, HCI Infrastructure. Additionally, they will have experience in scripting (PowerShell) and cloud hosting operations support (Azure, AWS).

They will also possess exceptional customer service skills and a strong understanding of the IT&T industry, technology trends, and related practices.

  • Technical Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in enterprise environments, including Windows OS and VMWare.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with enterprise-grade Hardware: Servers, NAS/SAN, HCI Infrastructure.
Desirable Skills/Requirements
  • Scripting (PowerShell)
  • Cloud hosting operations support (Azure, AWS)
  • Strong understanding of the IT&T industry, technology trends, and related practices.
  • ITIL v3/v4 qualification.
  • Basic network experience - administration - basic switches, router, and firewalls (Cisco nice to have).
