Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned enterprise systems expert to champion the strategy, planning, architecture, design, and operations of our Workday suite. This pivotal leadership role will drive the broader Workday initiative across the business, ensuring best-in-class architectures and implementation patterns are applied throughout all modules and departments.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Technology, and People and Culture to drive continuous improvement and successful outcomes in all Workday related activities, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong strategic thinking and collaboration skills. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the functional and technical owner of the Workday suite (including HCM, Financials, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, etc.)
  • Defining and maintaining the strategic roadmap for the Workday ecosystem, aligning it with organisational objectives and enterprise architecture standards
  • Developing and leading governance processes around configuration, release management, data security, access controls, and change management
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to ERP data and systems
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to People and Culture, Finance, and other business units, translating business needs into scalable Workday solutions
  • Leading a cross-functional team of Workday specialists
  • Managing vendor relationships, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) and contract obligations are met

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience managing ERP systems, with at least 5 years focused on the Workday suite
  • Deep knowledge of Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, etc.) and integration technologies (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services)
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture and ERP governance frameworks
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale ERP projects on time and within budget
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a team of ERP functional or technical specialists
