ICT Support Team Manager Opportunity

This is an exciting time to contribute to the development of robust systems and processes, deliver diverse projects and demonstrate innovation and commitment in public service.

A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.

As ICT Support Team Manager, you will report to the Chief Information Officer and manage a small team responsible for day-to-day ICT deliverables such as provision of ICT Support, VIP Support and ICT Asset Management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage ICT Support capability consisting of Level 1 and Level 2 IT Support and VIP IT Support on Microsoft enabled devices nationally.
  • Manage problem and incident processes ensuring timely resolution of issues prevention of recurrence and improvement of service quality.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with ICT service providers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with Commission's objectives.
  • Manage ICT Assets throughout their lifecycle including allocation repair replacement and disposal of devices in accordance with Commission's policies and procedures.
  • Generate IT Service Management reports for senior management highlighting ICT Support performance and outcomes.
  • Undertake ICT procurement working collaboratively with procurement team in procurement planning and execution for ICT related procurements.
  • Contribute to strategic direction development and governance of service delivery activities to support ICT initiatives.

Additional tasks may be required from time to time but should be within your capabilities providing opportunities for exposure across the agency.

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate excellent problem-solving relationship organisational skills strong time management skills highly developed verbal and written communications skills experience in dealing with conflicting stakeholder feedback leading and coordinating small working groups facilitating discussions and driving decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent problem-solving skills are essential to address complex ICT issues. Proven experience in leading and coordinating small working groups will drive success.

Strong communication skills including both written and verbal communication are necessary to facilitate discussions and drive decision-making processes.

Ability to develop effective relationships with ICT service providers is crucial to ensure quality service delivery.
