Our Melbourne office is seeking a highly skilled leader to join our team. As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring fair and timely resolution of disputes between injured workers, employers, and insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement proactive approaches to dispute resolution and conciliatory matters
  • Lead and manage a team of dispute resolution professionals and administration assistants, providing supervision, coaching, and performance development
  • Oversee intake, assessment, and resolution of disputes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy
  • Promote and facilitate early resolution practices, including conciliation
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including legal representatives and regulatory bodies
  • Monitor team performance and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and case management
Requirements

You are a confident leader with a strong background in dispute resolution, case management, or legal services. You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex disputes, preferably in a Vic Workers Compensation or regulatory environment
  • Strong understanding of early resolution principles and Victorian Worker's Compensation legislation
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments with empathy and professionalism, including team building, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and change management
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, dispute resolution, public administration, or a related field (desirable)
