We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee our dispute resolution team. As part of our diverse team, you will make a positive impact on someone's life every day.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role in ensuring fair, timely, and effective resolution of disputes between injured workers, employers, and insurers.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of professionals, overseeing complex dispute management and promoting early dispute resolution practices.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement proactive approaches to dispute resolution and conciliatory matters.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing supervision, coaching, and performance development.
  • Oversight of intake, assessment, and resolution of disputes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
  • Promote and facilitate early resolution practices, including conciliation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including legal representatives and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor team performance and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and case management.
About You

You are a confident leader with a strong background in dispute resolution, case management, or legal services.

You bring demonstrated experience in managing complex disputes, preferably in a Vic Workers Compensation or regulatory environment.

You have a strong understanding of early resolution principles and Victorian Worker's Compensation legislation.

You possess excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

You are able to lead teams in high-pressure environments with empathy and professionalism.

Tertiary qualifications in law, dispute resolution, public administration, or a related field are desirable.
