We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to lead our Dispute Resolution Team within the Victorian Workers Compensation division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a proactive, specialized approach to Dispute Resolution and conciliatory matters.
  • Lead and manage a team of dispute resolution professionals and administration assistants, providing supervision, coaching, and performance development.
  • Oversee intake, assessment, and resolution of disputes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
  • Promote and facilitate early resolution practices including conciliation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including legal representatives, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor team performance and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and case management.
About You
  • You are a confident leader with a strong background in dispute resolution, case management, or legal services.
  • You bring:
    • Demonstrated experience in managing complex disputes, preferably in a Vic Workers Compensation or regulatory environment.
    • Strong understanding of early resolution principles and Victorian Worker's Compensation legislation.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments with empathy and professionalism including team building, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and change management.
    • Tertiary qualifications in law, dispute resolution, public administration, or a related field (desirable).
