We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Safety Professional to join our team in Australia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership. This includes promoting a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate incident investigation processes to ensure thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
  • Enter Safety Incident Information into internal databases in a timely manner.
  • Perform safety observations and audits to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Train and assist others in completing their safety responsibilities, including audits, inspections, and follow-up on safety rules.
  • Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) related fields.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity.
  • Cert IV in WHS or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in emergency response.
  • Experience in worker's compensation case management.

Location

  • Brisbane, QLD, Australia.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
