Transport Operations Manager
Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our transport operations. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising daily transport activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer products while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing transport operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing transport operations to meet priorities, KPIs, and customer expectations
- Planning and coordinating weekly labour and vehicle requirements based on volume and time constraints
- Liaising with customers to ensure accurate load planning and delivery scheduling
- Supervising daily transport activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to procedures
- Training and mentoring staff, promoting a high-performance and safety-focused culture
- Maintaining records and reports, including invoicing, KPIs, and incident reporting
- Ensuring adherence to HSE policies, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings
