Highly Skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist

An IT Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in system administration, with experience in managing servers, storage, and network devices.
They should be proficient in administering Windows Server and Linux distributions, as well as virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
In addition, they should have experience with Microsoft Stack, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Intune.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and monitor the organization's servers, network infrastructure, and cloud systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the helpdesk
- Perform regular system updates, security patches, and backups to safeguard data and infrastructure
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity best practices, including antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system rollouts
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and network diagrams
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant industry regulations
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities
- Continuously evaluate and recommend system improvements or automation opportunities
Requirements:
- Established and proven hands-on experience in system administration or a similar IT infrastructure role
- Proven ability to manage and maintain servers, storage, and network devices
- Experience in creating and maintaining system documentation and runbooks
- Operating Systems: Proficient in administering Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
- Experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms.
- Microsoft Stack: Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Intune.
- Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting
