About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Rural Territory Business Development Manager, covering a vast territory spanning from the Hyden area to Carnarvon. The ideal candidate will be based in Geraldton or Perth and will be responsible for maximizing sales revenue, margin, and volume of Waratah's rural products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing sales plans to achieve targets and monitor market trends
  • Influencing key stakeholders by articulating product benefits, demonstrating products, and providing training
  • Preparing proposals and costings, focusing on environmental considerations and promoting higher-margin products
  • Building strong relationships with rural retailers, farmers, fencing contractors, government bodies, and industry groups
Requirements:
  • Agricultural-related qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the agricultural industry
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups
  • Positive attitude, drive to succeed, and willingness to travel regularly
