Job Opportunity

The Organisation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dementia Support Coach to support people living with dementia.

This role offers the chance for professional growth and exposure to a new project, making it a perfect fit for those looking to advance their career in Aged Care.

  • Facilitate on the ground support, implementation of relationship-based support strategies, modelling and coaching with clients, carers and care staff.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to develop the skills, expertise and/or applied knowledge of aged care staff and carers to understand the person living with dementia and develop best practice support and care.
  • Support the implementation of recommendation plans on the ground, drawing on modelling and coaching techniques, and seek guidance as required.
Requirements
  • Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment and competing demands.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service principles including conflict resolution.
  • A current driver's licence and safe driving record.
  • Willingness to travel and work intrastate and interstate to support the delivery of services.
  • Qualification in relevant field; Allied Health assistant, Diversional Therapy, Enrolled Nursing (EN), Aged Care, Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Leisure and Health or similar.
