About the Role:

We are seeking a Business Engagement Specialist to join our team in Service for Business.

The role is based in Southern NSW and involves engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business communities and industry stakeholders across NSW to provide specialist advice and support effective business engagement strategies.

  • Contribute insights on opportunities and challenges faced by Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander businesses to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Deliver presentations, workshops and roadshows to key stakeholders and business groups across NSW.
  • Establish collaborative relationships through effective communication to identify and address customer needs.

In this position, you will also have the opportunity to engage with businesses in culturally informed ways, ensuring effective participation and supporting the development of collaborative approaches to policy, project and program delivery.

To be successful, you will need strong connections in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, incorporating applied knowledge of community-centred consultative practice and cultural protocols. You will also require patience and motivation to understand and serve customers, as well as relevant specialised industry/business qualifications and/or experience.
