Merchandise Planner Role Overview

As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal stock levels in stores for our customers, accurate sales forecasts and warehouse stock. Your primary responsibility will be to create store/product level allocations weekly based on sales trend performance, Customer OTB requirements and internal warehouse constraints.

  • Create and implement weekly store/product level allocations based on customer demands and internal warehouse capacity.
  • Develop inventory purchasing plans aligned with future sales forecasts, making adjustments as needed to ensure a balance between warehouse stocks and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning within a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in excel-based allocations methodologies.
  • Analytical skills with experience in analyzing store performances and identifying opportunities.
  • Strong communication and numerical acumen skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
