Strategic Governance Officer – NSW Parliament

We are a dynamic, hard-working team supporting the work of the Legislative Council - the Upper House of the NSW Parliament. Our role is to provide exceptional services to our key stakeholders, ranging from the President of the Legislative Council to members of the public. We work in collaboration with other departments to ensure the effective running of the Parliament.
As a Principal Council Officer (PCO) at the Corporate and Bicentenary (Black Rod) Office, you will play a significant role in the management of the Fountain Court and Reconciliation Wall exhibition spaces, protocol, and assisting in arranging significant events such as those planned for the Bicentenary of the Legislative Council. You will also assist in preparing procedural material as required.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the President and other senior officials;
- Assisting in the preparation of procedural materials;
- Managing the Fountain Court and Reconciliation Wall exhibition spaces;
- Coordinating significant events;
- Providing protocol advice;

- A base salary of $116,211 - $128,061 per annum (Clerk Grade 9/10), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading;

**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (desirable);
- Proven experience in governance or administration;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- A commitment to the democratic process and an interest in understanding how it works in NSW;
**Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination**
Please note that a condition of employment is that all staff must provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated as determined by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).
