About the Role

We are seeking a Hospitality Service Assistant to join our team. The role involves delivering effective support to the hospitality function, including catering, cleaning, and laundry. You will use your food services and cleaning skills to provide our residents with a personal and empathetic approach.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous catering or food service experience is preferred but not essential. You will also be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts throughout the week.

Duties

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents’ queries and requests
  • Laundry duties include loading washers and dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen
  • Catering and food services duties include assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Cleaning duties include general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • Understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
