Child Health Research Specialist

This is a unique chance to collaborate with the Population Child Health research group as a Research Associate, focusing on health services research and epidemiology.
Contribute to improving the health, wellbeing, and development of children and young people locally, nationally, and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Support statistical and epidemiological analyses for intervention-based studies and grant applications.
- Conduct research activities, including surveys, literature reviews, data collection, and recording results using appropriate research methods under the guidance of a research leader.
- Assist in the dissemination of research outcomes through suitable channels, including presenting at conferences and/or workshops.
- Hold a PhD in Epidemiology/Statistics or a related discipline, or have equivalent expertise gained from experience, training, and/or professional accreditation.
- Demonstrate competency in statistical software, preferably R, SAS, and/or Stata, and previous experience working with large datasets.
- Have experience working in trial design and evaluation, which would be beneficial.
- Exhibit highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team, build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, and communicate across disciplines.
- Full-time employment (35 hours per week)
- Fixed-term contract for 12 months
