Job Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Therapeutic Franchise Lead. As an operational expert in their respective therapeutic area, they will be responsible for spearheading strategies that drive business growth and support the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.

  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in developing innovative delivery strategies, differentiating our services from competitors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • They will work closely with experts to refine our approach, engage with stakeholders to align with global operational strategy, and develop training materials to support project leads in their deliverables.
  • In partnership with Business Development, Medical Services, Proposals, Operations, and other functions, they will play a pivotal role in awarding business to achieve new business targets within their designated therapeutic area.

New Business Opportunities:

  • Responsibilities will include evaluating and managing new opportunities from receipt through pricing and proposal development, and making informed decisions on awarding business.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with Business Development to prepare for and conduct customer-facing meetings, and develop project budgets aligned with the requested project strategy.

Project Delivery and Governance:

  • As Emerald Clinical project champion, they will act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution and governance.
  • They will guide Project Leads through comprehensive handovers of awarded projects, facilitating their understanding of all aspects of the project.
  • Additionally, they will define and communicate the project team profile and organizational structure, serving as an escalation point and governance contact for awarded projects within their therapeutic area.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related science or health care discipline is essential, along with minimum 10 years of global clinical research experience, including hands-on operational project delivery and/or drug development experience.
  • At least 5 years of global business development experience, ideally in a hands-on capacity, is also required, showcasing direct involvement in associated processes.
