Scientific Collaboration Expert

The role of the Scientific Collaboration Expert is to advance patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry leaders. This involves ensuring that they are fully versed in the therapeutic area and up-to-date on all major studies, both ongoing and completed; product information on relevant therapies; clinical data and relevant pipeline data to provide the most accurate data to key decision makers and the healthcare community.

The primary responsibility of the Scientific Collaboration Expert is to engage in non-promotional peer-to-peer communication with medical/scientific information to key decision makers based on scientific exchange and services oriented towards the stakeholders' professional interests & needs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain a roster of key decision makers in their therapeutic area.
  • Utilize scientific and medical expertise to communicate scientific information in individual and group presentations.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical, scientific, pipeline, or product information from key decision makers utilizing appropriate approved scientific materials and documenting the use of these resources.
  • Provide insights internally on scientific gaps, ideas, and other topics gathered from scientific exchange to inform scientific responses, study areas of interest, clinical trial programs, development programs, and therapeutic area strategy.
  • Support the identification of potential study investigators/sites for sponsored studies.
  • Evaluate various engagement metrics (both quantitative and qualitative) to ensure achievement.
  • Attend/participate in scientific congresses/meetings to understand emerging data on patient treatment within the therapeutic area covered, allowing for more balanced scientific exchange.
