We are seeking an experienced and skilled Gardener to join our team in a prestigious private school in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the immaculately kept open spaces and gardens at the school, ensuring they meet the highest standards of presentation.
This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a variety of plants and horticultural equipment, and to contribute to the creation of beautiful outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities- Maintain the school's gardens, including ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas, to a premium standard.
- Perform regular horticultural maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising.
- Lead a team of gardeners to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and correctly.
- Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects.
- Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Collaborate with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs.
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens.
- Excellent working knowledge of all tools and equipment used in the field.
- Ability to obtain a White Card and Working with Children's check if not already held.
- Well-honed communication skills.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows, impart knowledge to others, and be a mature and reliable team player.
