Job Opportunity

A great chance to be part of our Defence Maintenance Contract team as a Vehicle Mechanic. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and armoured tanks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Conduct minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
About the Role:
  • Certification III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
  • Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing and maintaining Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
  • Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
