As a dedicated Secondary English teacher at St John XXIII Catholic College, you will be an integral part of a dynamic teaching team that fosters an inclusive learning community. St John XXIII Catholic College is part of the Catholic School Parramatta Diocese, a system of 83 schools committed to providing quality education and supporting the professional growth of its employees. We are seeking a Secondary English teacher to join our vibrant school community on an ongoing full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective English lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and promote student engagement.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
  • Utilize student assessment data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the educational context for students and promote the links between school, home, and community.
  • Demonstrate a passion for transformational education and integrate it into the curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication, administration, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - clearance.
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete).
