About Product Governance

The Product Governance role encompasses collecting and validating data to assess product outcomes. This involves identifying solution-based outcomes, creating reports, and delivering recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting customer outcome data (claims, complaints, feedback, metrics, regulatory, customer advocacy and competitor environment themes).
  • Analysing and interpreting data to determine whether product outcomes demonstrate value and confirm that products are being sold to the intended customer segments.
  • Proposing recommendations with tangible actions to improve customer outcomes, including categorisation of urgency.
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive customer outcomes reports to the responsible Product Manager.
  • FOLLOWING up on post-review actions and recommendations, ensuring visibility through Product Governance Dashboards.

A strong advocate for customers is required, with the ability to stand behind insights and recommendations that support good customer outcomes. Strong analytical skills, understanding of Design and Distribution obligations, knowledge of financial retail product lifecycles, design, distribution strategies and monitoring of effectiveness are also essential. Clear written and verbal communication skills are necessary to present findings to key stakeholders.
