**Job Description:**

The Residential Care Worker occupies a pivotal position in delivering care and support to young individuals with complex needs.

Our residential services provide accommodation and assistance to children and young people referred through the Child Protection system. The Residential Care Worker is responsible for participating in the daily operations of the unit, responding to the young person's emotional and functional requirements, developing their personal skills, and meeting administrative obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized care and support to young individuals with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored plans to promote the young person's growth and development.
  • Maintain a secure and supportive environment that fosters the young person's physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the young person receives comprehensive care and support.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or equivalent qualification in Youth Work.
  • Demonstrated experience as a youth worker supporting young individuals with complex needs.
  • Extensive knowledge of trauma and its effects on young people.
  • A genuine interest in young people's well-being and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment.
**Benefits:**
  • Hourly rate of $34.46 to $40.05 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 2-3, dependent on qualification and experience.
