This is a unique chance to contribute to the Youth Justice system as a Bail After Hours Service Worker.

The position involves conducting bail assessments and providing advice to Bail Justices and the Weekend Online Remand Court on weeknights, weekends, and public holidays. This requires working in a flexible environment, both remotely and in-person, to ensure the effective functioning of the state-wide Youth Justice Bail After Hours Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting bail assessments and advising Bail Justices and the WORC
  • Working with Bail Justices and the WORC to support the effective functioning of the state-wide Youth Justice Bail After Hours Service

Requirements:

  • Advanced understanding of the Youth Justice system and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice at an advanced level in statutory Youth Justice or related fields
  • Understanding of case management principles and a range of assessment and interventions relevant to young people's age, gender, developmental stage, and offending needs
  • Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work (or other tertiary qualifications at Diploma or above with units of study in case management/casework practice and supervised practical work placements)
