Lead Tax Professional

\

The Lead Tax Professional will oversee ASC 740 global provision engagements and corporate tax compliance work.

\

This role involves direct client interaction, technical consulting, and mentoring junior staff members. As a key member of the team, you will manage complex tax projects, lead and review corporate income tax compliance, and consult on intricate tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute ASC 740 global provision projects.\
  • Oversee and review corporate income tax compliance (federal and state).\
  • Provide expert advice on complex technical tax matters.\
  • Supervise and support the professional development of staff and seniors.\
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and client stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow coordination.\
  • Ensure all tax projects are completed efficiently and effectively.\
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives.\
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.\
  • Stay informed about changes in tax policies and procedures.\
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and expertise.\
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.\
  • Contribute to the development of tax policies, procedures, and best practices.\
  • Support the implementation of effective tax risk management strategies.\
  • Monitor and report on tax-related metrics and KPIs.\
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.\
  • Communicate complex tax concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.\
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of tax projects and activities.\
  • Comply with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and company policies.\
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.\

Requirements:

  • CPA certification is required.\
  • 4–8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.\
  • Strong background in ASC 740 provisions and corporate tax.\
  • Familiarity with tax software and tools preferred.\
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and communicate effectively.\
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset.\
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\
  • Detail-oriented and organized.\
