About the Role

As a software engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our applications. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will enable you to analyze product requirements, identify optimal solutions, and implement maintainable code.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop intuitive interfaces that meet the needs of our users. This involves collaborating with designers, back-end engineers, and other front-end developers to create seamless experiences across multiple devices and browsers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing product requirements and identifying technical approaches
  • Collaborating with designers to optimize designs for maximum user outcomes
  • Implementing maintainable code and advocating for consistent coding standards
  • Improving the efficiency and familiarity of user experience through design systems and reusable components
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a front-end software engineer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern HTML and CSS including pre-processors (SCSS, LESS)
  • Commercial experience with Angular/AngularJS
  • Ability to write CSS in an explicit portable manner with correct selector intent
  • Comfortable working with JavaScript and modern JavaScript MVC frameworks and single-page applications
  • Understanding of cross-device and browser compatibility
  • Proficient in use of Figma, Sketch, Invision, and equivalent applications
  • Front-end build tools such as Gulp.js, Bower, or Grunt
  • Git version control
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of OOCSS - Experience with intuit or the BEM architecture
  • Experience working with component library tooling and/or design systems
  • Experience with transitional and feedback animation
  • Experience in working with modern, cloud-based architectures, RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and serverless tools
  • Focus on continuous delivery and automated deployments, experience with CI/CD
