About the Role

The role of Senior Project Officer is a key position within the Department of Education's infrastructure division. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing capital investment budgets and business case programs.


In this role, you will utilize your exceptional communication and research skills to gather data and analyze school enrolment trends and infrastructure requirements. You will then use this information to draft submissions and business cases seeking additional capital funding.


This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled project manager to join our team and contribute to the planning and provision of facilities for the Department of Education.


You will have the chance to work with a range of stakeholders, including government agencies and external partners, to coordinate budget submissions that meet the Department of Treasury Strategic Asset Management Framework.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement capital investment budgets and business case programs
  • Utilize communication and research skills to gather data and analyze school enrolment trends and infrastructure requirements
  • Draft submissions and business cases seeking additional capital funding
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate budget submissions
