About the Role
  • Audit multiple programs to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of girls in STEM, making a tangible difference in their lives and fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. As a volunteer STEM Coach, you will be matched with a student based on compatible interests and geographical location, providing personalized support and guidance throughout an eight-month program.

The program consists of two camps: a residential Summer Camp in December and an online Winter Camp in July. You will attend Summer Camp for one day to meet your student and initiate mentoring. Throughout the program, you will keep in regular contact with your student, helping them build skills and confidence in a STEM area. This may involve discussing study options and career pathways, assisting with extension work, or inviting them to visit your workplace.

We require our volunteer STEM Coaches to have a successful interest in STEM activities, a desire to work with young people, and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent. You will receive training and support throughout the program.

Skills and Qualifications
