Cloud Database Migration Program Lead

We're seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive our multi-year journey of migrating existing databases to managed cloud services.

  • The successful candidate will define and execute the overall program strategy and roadmap, driving a fundamental shift in our infrastructure that boosts scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define detailed program plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand current database landscapes, identify migration challenges, and develop effective strategies.
  3. Establish strong relationships with product teams to ensure their migration needs are met and communicate program progress effectively.
  4. Identify, track, and manage program risks and dependencies, proactively developing mitigation plans.
  5. Facilitate discussions and decision-making regarding migration architectures, tools, and best practices.
  6. Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies effectively to all stakeholders.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role managing complex technical programs.
  • Proficiency in AWS and extensive experience with core AWS infrastructure services.
  • Demonstrated experience with database technologies and a strong understanding of database migration methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
