Technical Support Specialist for Medical and Biomedical Laboratories

The University of Southern Queensland is seeking two enthusiastic Technical Officers to provide professional support and advice for our technical services and facilities. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of University policies and procedures across all work areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general technical support and advice in medical, biomedical, or physical science laboratories.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of new and existing complex techniques and equipment.
- Support and foster a culture of work health and safety awareness among staff, students, and visitors.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Science discipline with subsequent work experience in a technical, laboratory, or workshop environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Microbiology & Mycology, Cell & Molecular biology, and Medical laboratory science (histology & cytology, biochemistry).
- Knowledge of advanced techniques and procedures used to prepare practical classes, experiments, and research activities.
- A competitive salary package with a total remuneration range of $84,342 to $95,655 per annum.
