About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, responsible for servicing QLD/NT and Northern NSW regions. This critical customer-facing role will involve maintaining and developing robust relationships with customers and providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation, and servicing of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional service to customers through corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment, and software & hardware upgrades.
  • Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of customer relationships.
  • Taking a lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution, ensuring stakeholders are updated on progress according to company process.
  • Providing best-in-class service to customers with technical support, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, determining cost-effective repair/solutions to minimize customer downtime.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development, keeping up-to-date on new technologies relevant to your area of focus.
  • The role may require working at alternative locations, including interstate, and occasional on-call support outside business hours.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer-facing service engineering roles, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Current Restricted Electrical License and a degree-level education or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong IT skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and holding a full AU driver's license with Australian working rights.
  • Please note: Police checks will be required during the onboarding process.

What We Offer:

As a Technical Support Specialist at Philips, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as opportunities for professional growth, a dynamic and inclusive work environment, and a comprehensive compensation package.
