The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing operations run smoothly, troubleshooting production or supply issues, and continuously improving existing production processes to ensure efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure manufacturing operates consistently by troubleshooting any production or supply issues,
  • Continuously improve and optimize existing production processes to ensure efficient operation. This includes defining workflow, equipment needs, and implementation strategies for production scaling,
  • Ensure that product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards,
  • Participate in design reviews to identify any potential production issues early in the development phase,
  • Prepare and take ownership of detailed documentation for manufacturing processes and product specifications. This includes creating process maps and work instructions,
  • Implement quality control processes during the production phase. Work closely with the quality department to set up inspection criteria and procedures,
  • Analyze and optimize production costs, including materials, labor, and overheads. Work to minimize costs while maintaining product quality,
  • Train production staff on processes and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting,
  • Ensure all product and process implementations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the product,
  • Identify potential risks in the production process and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the manufacture of small to medium mechatronic devices, a strong understanding of production processes and equipment, and excellent communication skills. Relevant tertiary engineering qualifications in a related discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar) are required.
