Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landfill Operations Manager to lead our team in ensuring safe and effective landfill operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of supervisory experience and a certified qualification in civil or waste management. They should possess a high level of mechanical aptitude, be able to troubleshoot and coordinate repairs to plant equipment breakdowns, and have experience operating mobile plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and Directing the Team: Ensure the team is working safely and efficiently to maintain landfill operations.
  • Asset Maintenance: Oversee planned maintenance for all landfill assets to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Daily Reporting and Stocktakes: Complete daily machine tracking reports and weekly stocktakes to monitor inventory and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work and Resource Planning: Develop and deliver work plans, including tasks and resource allocation.

The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to complete manual work and labouring. A Heavy Rigid Truck Licence, White Card, and competency with MS Office suite are essential qualifications.
