Job Opportunity

This permanent, full-time role is situated within the Water and Sewerage department, based at Moruya. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the Technical Services Team, ensuring the effective management of technical inquiries and delivery of services related to Council's water and sewer systems.

Closing collaboration with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders is essential to provide expert technical guidance that ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes.

The position also involves supervising staff in accordance with Council's values and safety standards, including support for after-hours activities as required.

A strong customer-focused approach is necessary, prioritizing and responding to technical inquiries using risk-based criteria while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key skills include:
• Advanced knowledge in asset management, contributing to Asset Management Plans, assisting with contract scoping and procurement, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards in the water and sewer industry.
• The ability to support day-to-day operational activities by providing technical guidance, coordinating resources, and ensuring service delivery meets safety, quality, and performance expectations.

About You:
  • Proven experience in implementing Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Strong technical expertise in water and sewer operations.
  • Sound understanding of relevant industry standards and the development application process.

Experience in leading and managing teams is desirable, along with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects and meeting deadlines.
