We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Pre-Sales Engineering team as a Technical Advisor. This role will play a key part in supporting our sales functions and equipping our salespeople with the technical resources they need to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:- Act as a trusted technical advisor to provide consultative support for organizations evaluating our platform.
- Provide tailored product demonstrations to showcase the value of our solution.
- Identify customer pain points and challenges, and align our solutions to meet those needs.
- Support direct and partner sales teams with product-related questions and skill development.
- Build relationships with partners through technical enablement and co-selling activities.
- Assist prospects with setup and configuration of free trials to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Provide technical Q&A to prospects as they progress through trial, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Determine prospect readiness to enter a formal sales cycle, ensuring we're well-positioned for success.
- Analyze implementation best practices to advise on the quickest path to customer value.
- Identify common technical issues and themes that could be addressed through product development, automation, or self-serve initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts, making them accessible to a wide range of audiences.
- Comfortable speaking with technical evaluators and IT leaders, adapting communication style to suit the audience.
- Desire and ability to learn new complex concepts, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical Sales Engineering or similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud/SaaS technologies, including platforms and ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory environments, including design, deployment, and management.
- Knowledge of network architecture, including protocols, devices, and security measures.
- Familiarity with industry-standard authentication and authorization protocols, such as SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, RADIUS.
- Experience with MDM, RMM, or similar endpoint solutions, as well as familiarity with MFA technologies like TOTP, WebAuthn.
- Proven experience configuring and deploying identity and/or directory solutions, with a focus on scalability and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, with experience in automating tasks and workflows.
- Success in both direct and channel/partner sales cycles, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics.
