Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Agile Lead to guide and support a cross-functional development team in delivering high-quality project outcomes. The Agile Lead will drive best practices, maintain project methodology, and ensure effective collaboration between stakeholders, product owners, and the delivery team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and proven experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and product owners. They will also have demonstrated experience leading Agile projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and hands-on experience using, managing, and configuring Agile tools such as JIRA.

  • Lead and guide the development team on Agile best practices, including Kanban, workflows, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint planning & execution.
  • Maintain and document the Project's Agile methodology to ensure consistency and clarity.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is effectively groomed and prioritised.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying risks and issues, and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and report on the status of project sprints and epic progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain JIRA, ensuring uniform usage across the team and alignment with the Agile methodology.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Support the Project Manager with stakeholder engagement and reporting requirements.
Requirements and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and product owners.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on experience using, managing, and configuring Agile tools such as JIRA.
  • ICT-related qualifications are preferred.
  • Agile qualifications are essential — Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) preferred.
  • Active NV2 Security Clearance is mandatory.
