Job Title: Remedial Builder

We are seeking an experienced Remedial Builder to join our team at Frontline Recruitment Group. As a Remedial Builder, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing building defects, with a focus on remedial work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and execute repairs to deteriorating structures and damaged building components, including concrete, brickwork, and other materials.
  • Diagnose and develop effective remediation solutions for building defects such as water ingress, structural cracking, facade deterioration, and dampness.
  • Perform various types of concrete repair work, including patching, resurfacing, and structural reinforcement.
  • Apply and install waterproofing systems to protect properties against water damage.
  • Conduct repairs and restoration work on building facades, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Execute floor levelling procedures for both residential and commercial properties.
  • Utilize software such as Deputy and SafetyCulture for project management, safety compliance, and workforce scheduling.
  • Ensure safety is always a key focus on-site, with regular risk assessments and toolbox talks adequately documented.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all work meets the company's standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a builder focusing on remedial works in residential and commercial settings.
  • Knowledge of building construction, remedial repair techniques, and relevant materials with a strong understanding of structural and non-structural repair methods.
  • Confident in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and engineering plans.
  • Experienced with waterproofing systems, facade restoration, concrete repair, and floor levelling techniques.
  • Software proficiency in using software such as Deputy and Safety Culture for project management, safety compliance, and workforce scheduling.
  • Project management skills, including managing multiple tasks and time management.
  • Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Driver's licence and Construction White Card.
  • Trade qualification (Builders licence or equivalent).
