Role Overview:

As an Aboriginal Hub Practitioner, you have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the local community by providing culturally safe and responsive support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the workforce on culturally sensitive service delivery, including specialist family violence services, child and family services, and adult family violence interventions.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal-specific services and Community within the Hub Network to enhance choice and elevate outcomes for Aboriginal individuals and families.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with other services to drive improved outcomes for individuals and families.

Work Environment:

This is an ongoing, full-time position that offers access to salary packaging. You will be part of the Wathaurong Family Services Team and work from both The Orange Door site and Wathaurong Home Agency Sites.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Culturally safe and responsive approach to providing intake, assessment, and support services.
  • Ability to develop effective partnerships with other services to improve outcomes for individuals and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal-specific services and Community.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in social work, community development, or a related field.
